As you probably know: plastic pallets never decompose. Paper pallets are derived from raw wood and require polluting chemical treatment for moisture resistance and bonding. New wooden pallets are the most environmentally friendly option, but unless they come from plantation wood they still affect the ecosystem over time. All of these put pressure on the environment.
